Didn’t get enough of 2012’s most anticipated music in AP #282? Check out more stuff we’re stoked about here!

 THE MENZINGERS
EXPECT IT: February (EPITAPH)With 2010’s Chamberlain Waits seen by many as one of the most important punk records to come along in years, the Menzingers certainly have a lot of expectations to live up to in regards to their next album, which they’ve wrapped recording with producer Matt Allison (Alkaline Trio, Less Than Jake, the Lawrence Arms). With a more visible presence on a huge label like Epitaph and an upcoming arena tour with Rise Against and A Day To Remember, the band appear ready to take their anthemic music and passionate live show to a larger audience without sacrificing their integrity. “We’ve spent more time on the writing and recording processes of this record than anything we’ve done in the past. The songs are a little more thought out and we’re really happy with the results,” says guitarist/vocalist Tom May. “We got our hands on a few guitar pedals and fucked around with some studio tricks. There’s a few more mid-tempo jams and some stuff we always wanted to do but haven’t had the time or the togetherness to pull off. Overall, we had a blast and Matt Allison really brought the best out of us. I can’t wait for our friends to hear it.”
